The Buchanan Family

|d|This picture was taken at the Buchanan farm a few kilometers East of Orillia near the village of Uptergrove (blink and you'll miss it) on highway 12 South.

The farm and the surrounding area was, originally, owned by Anne's great grandparents (McIsaac) around 1871.   It has since been divided into smaller farms and the majority of properties are still owned by Anne's relatives.   Shown in the picture are:

|d| Terry and Anne are both "retired".  Terry retired from Nortel and Anne has been retired from Nursing for a number of years.   They are actively involved with their family, church and the local community.  They are stewards of the McIsaac Wetlands, donated by Anne's brother Basil McIsaac on behalf of their brothers and sisters in loving memory of their parents, Donald and Eva McIsaac to the   Couchiching Conservancy, a local conservation organization.

"Retired?" -- not really... They are Independent Associates of PPL Legal Care of Canada, a company that offers access to Attorney services in Ontario and across North America for a nominal monthly fee.

|d|Don, Michelle, their son, Aidan, and two daughters, Claire and Caelan, live in the west end of Toronto.  Caelan is Don's and Michelle's newest addition to their family.|d|

Don has been in the security systems business for several years and currently operates Nightwatch Security Systems. Michelle is taking time

|d|Stephanie, Kyle and their daughter Rhian live north of Toronto in a small village near Caledon Hills.

|d|Alexandra, Tom and their sons, Jamie, Liam and Gavin live in Georgetown.  Tom's mom, Eva, visits with the family and shares in family events.

|d|Gregory and Leslie live in the north end of Toronto.  They are currently remodeling an older home (new to them) in this area.  They are into physical fitness, they like outdoor activities and camping.

|d|Theresa makes the farm in Uptergrove her home base, but she has spent several months in Thailand on a youth work exchange. She has returned from visiting and travelling in Scotland and is currently visiting in northern Ontario.

|d|Mary still lives at home on the farm.  She completed highschool as an "A" student. She is athletic and continues to run and cycle around the farm.  Mary is taking a year off to gain work experience and to relax.  She has worked at a local resort for a few month and does volunteer work at the local hospital.
